Page Purpose: To foster intimate communion with the Trinity, patterned after the Tabernacle Prayer, and to promote corporate Silent Prayer events, namely, the Silent Prayer Hour on ZOOM and the Silent Prayer Vigil Day at Hollybush.
Entering into prayer can be in any situation, at any time, any place.
But it can be more than a simple move into the presence of God; it can be a conscious transition from the clamour and distractions of the world into the sanctuary of His Kingdom.
Patterned after the ancient Tabernacle, this prayer invites us on a journey: passing through the open door of Christ, offering ourselves at the altar of surrender, and walking through the illuminated Holy Place to the Holy of Holies.
Because the veil was supernaturally torn in two at the cross of Jesus, we are no longer kept at a distance in the outer courts. We are invited to enter directly into the Holy of Holies—the Throne Room of divine communion.
At the Mercy Seat, we are in intimate relationship. In holy stillness, we wait upon the Lord with a fixed gaze of faith, enveloped in His boundless love and deep rest. We join the host of heaven in adoration.
Here, our human weakness is exchanged for divine grace and strength before we are return back out to live as living temples in our communities.
My son begins the start of his working week with a team meeting. Many others do the same, so as labourers in the vineyard, why don’t we? What better way to start the week than to be in the Lord’s presence for an hour as one body.
