INTRODUCTION

Figure 1 The wave of Charismatic Renewal is all but dissipated, but a new distinct wave of God has begun to swell, which is the subject of this document.

As a veteran of the original Charismatic Renewal who joined at its height and never left surfing the wave, I have witnessed the landscape shift from the wildfire of the 1960’s and 1970’s to the embers of institutional complacency today.

However, we are witnessing that a new, distinct wave of God has begun to swell. We have observed this take form over the last three years - on the streets witnessing, more than 1,000 hours of outreach on the market days of Thirsk and Northallerton

This wave is a grassroots movement, and is not characterized by televised events or high-profile "superstars”’ It is characterised by a profound stirring of hearts across every category of the UK spiritual landscape, from the nonbelievers to the Spirit-Filled Christians.

The stirring of hearts was recently exemplified for me by a complete stranger, in his fifties, who came up to me and said, “How can I get Jesus to love me?”. He knew of no church. He had no Christian background and had never read Scripture.  So many times, we see that the Holy Spirit is moving directly to stir hearts like this.

It is so encouraging that while institutional "Christianness", such as the active Christians who attend church once a week, is thinning, the Holy Spirit is moving powerfully in the secular world to save lost sheep.

This document, born out of the context of prayer, prophetic words, and regular outreach provides a measure of the theological and practical "latitude" needed to navigate this new wave. It presents a move away from "Religious Formality without Power" toward an authentic, Apostolic power characterized by the following strategic pillars:

·       Unity of the Body as expressed by fractal mathematics:

Recognizing that the Church is not a fragmented institution but a spiritual geometry where the individual, the local gathering, and the global Body have the same Spirit-filled identity.

·   Latitude of Scope in space and time:

Embracing the latitude of scope of God’s reality seen through the lens of entanglement, interfusion of space and the interweaving of time in quantum mechanics.

·       The Restoration of Holy Awe:

Reclaiming the "Kavod" (heaviness) of God's holiness, moving beyond a casual "buddy-like" relationship to a transformative encounter with the Consuming Fire.

·       The Engine of Prayer:

Baptism in the Spirit gives us the gift of "Personal Prayer in Tongues". It is a pure, uncorrupted language that bypasses the ego. Singing in Tongues yokes believers together in one accord for kingdom labour.

·       The Theology of the Cross:

Rebuffing the Prosperity Gospel’s hedonism in favour of a mandate where there is suffering, but suffering which is blotted out by the joy, the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

·       The Discipline of Stillness:

Resisting the digital (social media & noise) colonization of our attention by recovering the solitude required to hear the "gentle whisper" of God.

The old wave has all but dissipated on the sands of this world. This document serves as a  manual for the 1% Remnant who are ready to surf the new wave, to step into the secular vacuum with the raw power of the Gospel, fulfilling the mandate of Acts 1:8 for this unprecedented hour.

 STRUCTURE OF THE DOCUMENT

There are twelve sections to this document each one dealing with a different aspect of this authentic move of God and what it is to be Spirit-Filled Christians and to belong to a ‘Spirit-Filled Church’.

Each section takes the form of the following four headings.

BLOT OUT

This is about identifying and nullifying the spirit of the Antichrist at work in this area. The spirit of the Antichrist is subtle. It is manifest in the hearts of many people, many church leaders, and is recognised by its fruit which demotes the Holy Spirit, Jesus, the Father and Scripture.
